Women's Soccer Cruises Past Life on Senior Day

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team defeated Life University 4-0 on Friday night where prior to the match, they celebrated their three seniors.
 
NOTES
• AUM improved to 7-6-1, while the Running Eagles dropped to 2-11.  
• The Warhawks celebrated the contributions of their three seniors, Amy Glynn, Courtney Omodei and Mandeville Wakefield.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Glynn registered her second goal of the season and had seven shots in the match.
• Omodei recorded an assist along with nine shots with five being on target.
• Wakefield tallied a season-high four shots with two being on frame.
• Sophomore Bronte Cintrone tallied her first goal of the season.  She was assisted by Chelsie China.
Agnes Edlund added a goal when she curled in a shot from long range.
• Freshman Mikaylah Corbin added a goal on two shots.  She was assisted by Sabrina Knight.
• Desiree Kuhn notched 14 saves for the Running Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the 18', Cintrone put the Warhawks on the board when she headed in a pass from China.
• Shortly thereafter, Edlund put in an impressive shot from about 35 yards out to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute.
• In the 42nd minute, Knight put a shot on frame that was saved by the keeper.  Unfortunately for Life however, the ball went right to Corbin's foot where increased the AUM lead to 3-0.
• Midway through the second half, Omodei crossed the ball to Glynn in the box where she was able to volley in her second career goal.
• The Warhawks coasted to the finish line, defeating Life with a final score of 4-0.


INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• AUM outshot Life 34-0.
• The Warhawks recorded 9 corner kicks.  
• The Running Eagles had 14 saves in the match.

UP NEXT
• The Warhawks will return to action on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 when they travel to Union University in Jackson, Tenn.  Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
