WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. ------ The Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team fought the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish to the very finish but ultimately fell with a final tally of 71-69.

• The Warhawks fell to 0-2 while the Sailfish improved to 2-0.

Grace Farnsworth was named to the PBA Tip-Off All-Tournament Team.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Farnsworth was named to the all-tournament team following a 19 point, nine rebound-effort against the Sailfish.
• Junior
Tyra Caudle was 4-for-8 from the field, accounting for 11 points and seven boards.

Shanna Strain shot 4-for-7 from the field, including two treys. She finished with 11 points and two rebounds.
• Nadia Steward finished with five points, six assists and four rebounds.
• Ayanna Holmes led the way for the Sailfish, finishing with 16 points and three boards.
• Ciara Cumbie tallied 11 points and eight points for Palm Beach Atlantic.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Auburn Montgomery came out hot out the gates, going up by as much as eight in the first quarter off of five points by
Shanna Strain. The Warthawks were able to end the first quarter with 20-14 lead.
• An 11-0 run by the Sailfish took the wind out the Warhawk sails early in the second quarter but AUM was able to fight back, going into halftime down by six.
• Two field goals and two free throws by Farnsworth helped Auburn Montgomery close back in on the Sailfish in the third quarter. Ultimately, the Warhawks outscored the Sailfish 20-16 in the third period.
• Fighting back and forth for the rest of the contest, AUM and PBA seemingly traded blows the entire period with each team putting up 16 points in the period. Ultimately, it wasn't enough as the Warhawks fell to the Sailfish 71-69.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Warhawks finished 26-of-52 from the floor, including 8-of-19 from behind the three-point line.
• PBA converted 25-of-58 shots from the field, and shot 10-31 from behind the arc.
• AUM committed 16 turnovers, which led to 17 points. The Sailfish committed 15 turnovers, leading to 17 Warhawk points.
• The Warhawks were outrebounded 37-28, and had only two second chance points.
• AUM converted 9-14 free throws, while Palm Beach Atlantic finished just 11-20 from the charity stripe.

• The Warhawks will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 15 when they travel to Americus, Ga. to take on Georgia Southwestern State University. Tip-off is slated for 4:30 p.m.
