DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. ----- The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team fell to Emmanuel College 4-2 Friday afternoon in the Embry-Riddle Postseason Classic.
NOTES
• AUM fell to 4-14 on the year, while Emmanuel improved to 10-7.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Freshman
Simon Van Rheeden tallied his fifth goal of the season on his only shot of the game.
• Sophomore
William York picked up his second goal of the season on his only shot of the match as well.
• Senior
Alan Harwell played a part in both goals, picking up an assist in each, and currently has four on the year.
• Blair Springhall, Channing Park, Nick Miller and Nico Becker each tallied a goal for the Lions.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Emmanuel jumped on the board first in the 11
th minute on a goal from Springhall.
• Ten seconds before halftime, the Lions tallied their second goal of the game from Miller, to take a 2-0 lead heading into the half.
• Five minutes into the second half, Emmanuel scored on a goal from Park that was assisted by Mitreski and Cameron.
• AUM tallied its first goal of the match in the 55
th minute on a cross from Harwell that found the feet of Van Rheeden to make the score 3-1.
• Emmanuel added an additional goal on a penalty, but the Warhawks scored in the 81
st minute on a header from Harwell to York who buried it into the back of the net. Emmanuel held on to the lead to take the match by a 4-2 margin.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• AUM finished the match with five shots, and put all five on frame.
• Emmanuel finished the match with 14 shots, and put eleven on frame.
• AUM tallied seven corner kicks in the match. Emmanuel finished the match with six.
• Emmanuel totaled three saves on the night, while AUM picked up seven.

• The Warhawks will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 5, when they stay in Daytona Beach, Fla. to face Spring Hill College in the Embry-Riddle Postseason Classic for the final game of the 2016 season. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m.
