MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- The weather has affected the AUM softball team's weekend schedule, as the Warhawks will host No. 9 William Carey Saturday at a new start time of 4 p.m. at the AUM Softball Complex. Friday's previously-schedule doubleheader against Belhaven has been cancelled.

The Warhawks have won their last 10 games and sport a 19-3 overall record on the year. At 8-0 in SSAC play, AUM holds a three-game lead in the East Division over Martin Methodist and Coastal Georgia.

Led by the pitching trio of Cassie Daniels, Taylor Powell and Kayla Hale, the Warhawks currently lead the NAIA with 221 strikeouts on the year. AUM pitchers also rank third nationally in opponent batting average (.140) and earned run average (1.01).

Offensively, Lauren Shaw leads the team with seven home runs, 28 RBIs and a .885 slugging percentage. Katie Spain has scored a team-high 22 times, while Therese Byrne leads the team with seven stolen bases.

The Lady Crusaders are 26-2 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
