QUOTING THE COACH
"This game didn't come down to the 10th inning," head coach
Marty Lovrich said. "We had numerous opportunities and hit into some very untimely double plays. Last week when we were in those situations, we made our opponent pay. Tonight, we couldn't get it done. We had some decent at bats with two outs, but also had some weak at bats with runners on second and third and less than two outs."
"I was really proud of Cole for battling through the early runs," Lovrich continued. "He has been on this stage before and really stayed poised. He pitched a heck of a game."
UP NEXT
• The Warhawks will return to action Saturday morning at 9 a.m. PST in an elimination game against No. 10 seed Point University.
