About the Warhawks
AUM (8-11, 1-7 GSC) returns to conference play after defeating Tuskegee 3-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The Warhawks average 9.7 kills on a .151 hitting percentage with 13.2 digs, 9.0 assists, 1.3 service aces and 1.3 blocks.
 
Junior middle blocker Brianna Garvin ranks among the best in the league in hitting percentage and blocks, ranking fifth and tied for ninth with a .318 clip and a 0.81 per set average. Junior setter Carly Smart masterminds the offense with 7.32 assists per set, sitting seventh in the GSC, while sophomore defensive specialist Haley Toler averages a team-best 3.54 digs which ranks 10th in the conference.
 
About the Hawks
Shorter (11-8, 4-3 GSC) returns home after competing in the GSC/SSC Crossover over the weekend, ending play with a 3-2 upset over #19 Saint Leo on Saturday, Oct. 14. The Hawks rank second in the conference with 2.1 blocks per set while averaging 12.5 kills on a .207 hitting percentage with 16.2 digs, 11.6 assists and 1.7 service aces.
 
Annie Homan leads Shorter, and the GSC, in service aces with 0.48 per set while Tiffani Estep ranks third in blocks per set with 1.12, fourth in hitting percentage with .320 and ninth in kills per set with 2.78. Cheyenne McLemore boasts the fifth-highest dig per set rate at 4.56 to pace the defense.
