• AUM would go on an 11-3 run to pull to within 28-21 on a pair of free throws by DeRamus at the 5:20 mark, only to have the Flames respond with a 9-4 run to close out the frame. The Warhawks trailed 37-25 at the half.
• A Blevins layup with 17:31 to play in the contest would give the Flames their largest lead of the night to that point at 47-29.
• The Warhawks would chip away at the lead to pull to within seven at 54-47 on a trey by Taylor at the 10:20 mark, but Lee would go on an 18-3 run over the next five minutes to take a 72-50 lead with just under five minutes to play.
