MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will host Gulf South Conference foe Delta State University on Saturday afternoon at the AUM Gymnasium at 4 p.m. in game two of a doubleheader featuring the two women's basketball teams, as the Warhawks will look to win three straight for the second time this season.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are currently 5-4 on the season and are coming off of an 84-77 victory over non-conference foe Spring Hill College on Wednesday. The game between the two former members of the Southern States Athletic Conference was the first since the 2013-14 season.
AUM is led offensively by junior guard
Desmond DeRamus, who is averaging 16.9 points per game. DeRamus also leads the team in rebounds (36), assists (32) and steals (19). Fellow guard
Darrion Taylor is second on the team in points, with an 11.6 ppg average. Taylor also leads the team in 3-pointers made with 22.
Senior forward
Lafayette James-Core is averaging 10.5 ppg to give the Warhawks three players averaging double digits in scoring.
AUM is 1-2 lifetime against Delta State, with the last meeting coming on Feb. 13, 1997. The Warhawks, then known as the Senators, earned a 79-70 victory over the Statesmen at the AUM Gymnasium.
About the Statesmen
DSU is currently 3-7 on the season with a 1-1 mark in GSC play. The Statesmen are coming off of a 66-61 setback to non-conference opponent Bethel University on Tuesday evening at home in the Walter Sillers Coliseum.
Three players are averaging 10 or more points per game for Delta, with junior guard Brett Warner leading the way at 15.0 points per game. Senior forward PJ Davis is averaging 13.9 ppg and leads the team in rebounds with 70 (7.0 rpg). Ravion Henry is third on the team in scoring posting 11.5 ppg.
