MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- The Auburn Montgomery baseball team only needed five hits to push across 11 runs in a win against the Montevallo Falcons on Saturday evening. That's because Falcon pitching walked 12 batters. On the day, Montevallo actually out-hit AUM, 18-5. The final score was 11-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the top of the first, starting pitcher
Seth Arroyo finagled his way out of a bases loaded, one out jam by striking out Samuels, and making a bare hand stop on a ground ball back to him for out number three.
• With the bases loaded and no outs in the top of the second, a deep fly ball to deep right center was caught at full extension by Chandler. The runner on second, Caleb Whiting was called out for not tagging up for a double play. The ball was then thrown to third and the Warhawks thought they had committed a triple play. According to the umpire however, the runner on third did in fact tag up on the play and scored the first run of the ball game. That would be it however for Falcons in the second.
• In the next half inning with the bases loaded for AUM, Johnson grounded into a fielder's choice to short to score Davenport. On a 3-2 offering that turned out being the final pitch from the starter Ellefson, Chandler chopped one through the 3-4 hole to put the Warhawks on top 2-1. With runners on the corners and one out, a wild pitch brought home Johnson. A four-pitch walk was drawn by Langley, but Chandler stole third in the process. A classic first and third steal of second by Langley was succeeded by Chandler scoring on the play. Later in the inning, Davenport singled up the middle to score Langley and Tedford, pushing the score to 6-1. A two-out, bases loaded walk drawn by Moman brought in the Warhawks seventh and final run of the inning. They registered just two hits, drawing seven walks and a hit by pitch.
• In the bottom of the third, Russell doubled off the left field fence for two more runs. AUM led 9-1.
• In an attempt to stay in the ball game, Montevallo pushed across four runs in the top of the fourth. An RBI single by Pardo, followed by a two-run single for Furuto and a run scoring on a double play accounted for the Falcon runs.
• The Warhawks scratched across another run in the bottom of the fifth on a throwing error by the Falcon shortstop.
• In the top of the seventh, Montevallo pushed across an unearned run on a throwing error on the second half of a double play sequence to bring the score to 10-6.
• With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, Moman singled in Davis to push the score to its final form of 11-6.
