Women’s Soccer To Host Erskine College

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team will host Erskine College out of Conference Carolinas on Wednesday afternoon at the AUM Soccer Complex, as the Warhawks look to snap a three-game losing skid.

Game time is set for 3 p.m., with a special ceremony to honor faculty and staff prior to the start of the contest.

About the Warhawks
After beginning the season with a 4-2 victory over Eckerd, the Warhawks have dropped three consecutive contests, starting the Gulf South Conference season with a pair of losses. AUM (1-3, 0-2 GSC) fell to North Alabama on Friday evening, 4-2, before suffering a 3-0 setback to West Georgia.

AUM is led offensively by sophomore Ruby Mendez, who has posted two goals and two assists on the season. She's also recorded a team-high 18 shots including seven shots on goal. Goalkeeper Felicia Wester has amassed 22 saves on the year, including a season-high eight saves against West Georgia.

About the Flying Fleet
Erskine is currently 1-4 on the year, with a 1-2 mark in Conference Carolinas play. The Flying Fleet dropped their first three contests of the season before picking up a 2-1 victory over Emmanuel College on Sept. 13. The Fleet dropped their last contest, 2-1, to Chowan University this past Saturday.

Junior Hayden Banks leads the team in scoring with two goals and an assist on the season. Banks has tallied 11 shots (six on goal) and recorded the game-winner against Emmanuel. Sophomore Sara Dooley has started all five games in goal for the Fleet, tallying 18 saves off of 34 shots faced.

Up Next
After hosting Erskine on Wednesday the Warhawks will travel to GSC foe Spring Hill College on Friday afternoon. AUM went 2-0 against the Badgers last season, earning a 3-2 win on Oct. 12 and a 3-1 victory on Nov. 6 to close out the season.
