Warhawks Travel To UWA For Non-Conference Match

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team will travel to Livingston, Ala., on Friday evening to take on Gulf South Conference rival West Alabama, in a non-conference contest set to begin at 7 p.m.

About the Warhawks
The game against the Tigers will mark the second consecutive contest in which the Warhawks will take on a GSC opponent in a non-conference game. AUM fell to Montevallo, 4-0, this past Saturday on the campus of the Falcons.
 
AUM now sits at 0-5 on the season, having lost seven in a row dating back to last season.
 
The Warhawks have been outscored 18-1 this season, with AUM's lone goal this year coming against Davenport on Sept. 8. AUM is also being outshot 117-23 and opponents have taken 40 corners to just nine for the Warhawks.
 
Sophomore Alexis Arriaga leads the team with one goal, and is tied for the team lead in shots with three. Fellow sophomore Caleb Fargarson also has three shots on the year, with all three being shots on goal.
 
Senior Stephen Ingram has started all five games for the Warhawks, tallying 31 saves on the season. The 31 saves by Ingram ranks second amongst keepers in the Gulf South.
 
About the Tigers
UWA boasts an overall record of 3-2 and a 1-1 mark in league play. The Tigers are coming off of a 2-0 setback to Spring Hill College at home this past Sunday after winning their GSC opener against West Florida, 2-1, on Sept. 15.
 
Jean-Baptiste Meyniel leads the team in points, scoring one goal and recording four assists on the season. Ali Brador has posted two goals on 11 shots taken for the Tigers, with teammate Keegan McQueen posting a goal and an assist this year.
 
Brad Louis has started all five games in goal for UWA, recording 12 saves on 47 shots face and allowing eight goals by opponents.
 
Up Next
The Warhawks will host GSC foe Montevallo on Sunday afternoon at the AUM Soccer Complex. This will be the second game against the Falcons this season, but the first conference meeting. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
