Women’s Basketball Takes On Nationally-Ranked North Alabama On Monday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team hosts a nationally-ranked team for the first time this season on Monday, Jan. 15, when No. 24 University of North Alabama comes to town for a 6 p.m. matchup.

About the Warhawks
AUM (7-8, 3-5 GSC) plays its second-straight game in the friendly confines of the AUM Gymnasium after a double-double outing by sophomore forward Regan Croff with 18 points and 11 rebounds powered the Warhawks to a 47-41 triumph over the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Saturday, Jan. 13. The Warhawks average 50.8 points, 35.3 rebounds, 11.6 assists, 9.1 steals and 3.7 blocks.
 
Junior guard Evelina Avleeva leads the Warhawks in points 11.5 and matches fellow junior guard/forward Jemaiya Lee with a team-best 6.1 rebounds while tying for the third-highest steals per game rate in the Gulf South Conference at 2.3. Redshirt-senior guard Kyla Rooks dishes out a team-best 2.7 assists while redshirt-sophomore center Bailee Wolfe blocks a team-best 1.5 shots per contest, tied for the fourth-best average in the league.
 
About the Lions
North Alabama (15-1,8-1 GSC) continues its three-game road swing after defeating West Georgia 74-63 on Saturday, Jan. 13. The Lions lead the GSC in scoring (85.5), scoring margin (+27.3), assists (18.75) and field goal percentage (.485) while also averaging 43.6 rebounds, 9.5 steals and 3.6 blocks.
 
Emma Wallen leads three Lions that average double-digit points with 19.4 on .458 shooting from the field, followed by Ivy Wallen with 17.7 and a GSC-leading 9.9 assists. Michaela DeKilder pulls down a team-best 9.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while Ansley Eubanks records a team-high 2.1 steals.
