MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Six different players scored in double figures as the Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team defeated Gulf South Conference foe North Alabama, 96-89, on Monday evening at the AUM Gymnasium, snapping a three-game losing skid in the process.

• AUM improves to 7-9 on the season and 3-6 in GSC play.
• UNA falls to 9-8 overall with a 4-6 mark in conference games.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Junior guard
Desmond DeRamus keeps moving closer to the 1,000-point plateau for his career, notching 20 points in tonight's contest. The Montgomery, Ala., native now sits at 922 points over his three seasons at AUM. He also tallied seven assists in the contest.
• Senior center
Jarett Croff recorded his first double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Croff now has six double-doubles wearing the Black & Orange.
• Sophomore guard
Darrion Taylor tallied 18 points coming off the bench for AUM, to go along with two steals.

Reagan Eubanks (14),
Lafayette James-Core (12) and
Kenneth Keith (10) all scored in double figures for the Warhawks.
• Four players scored in double figures for the Lions, with Kendall Stafford posting a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards in 39 minutes of action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Warhawks got off to a hot start going on a 12-1 run to start the contest, capped off by a DeRamus fastbreak layup at the 16:45 mark in the first.
• The Lions would find their bearing over the next five minutes, responding with a 14-4 run of their own to pull to within 16-15 off of a Tavaras Tolliver jumper with 11:26 left in the first.
• UNA's Jeff Hodge would tie the game minutes later at 20-20 before Clayton Trenton gave the Lions their first lead of the night with a jumper in the paint to go up 22-20 with just under nine minutes left in the first.
• Stafford would put the Lions up 36-27 with 4:39 left on the clock, but AUM would finish the half on a 21-6 run to take a 48-42 lead into the break after Taylor hit a trey as time expired.
• The Lions scored six unanswered points to tie the game at 48 points apiece with 18:51 to go, before a Croff jumper gave the Warhawks the lead once again moments later.
• AUM built its lead to as six but Jeff Hodge would tie the game for the Lions at 56-56 on a pair of free throws with 15:32 to play.
• The Warhawks would go on an 11-3 run highlighted by a DeRamus 3-pointer with 13:39 on the clock to give AUM a 67-59 advantage.
• DeRamus would give AUM its largest lead of the night at 75-61 with 8:11 to play with a jumper in the paint, but the Lions would not go down quietly. UNA would outscore the Warhawks 22-11 over the next six minutes to cut the lead to 86-83 with 1:47 to go.
• However, Eubanks would hit a pair of jumpers to extend the AUM lead over the final minutes, while Keith and Taylor were able to convert 5-of-6 free throws to ice the game and give the Warhawks the seven-point victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• UNA outscored AUM 42-34 in the paint, while recording 18 second chance points to just four for the Warhawks.
• The Lions also outrebounded AUM 47-32 in the contest.
• AUM's bench outscored UNA's 22-14.

The Warhawks will hit the road for their next two contests, taking on Valdosta State on Thursday evening before squaring off against West Florida the following Saturday.
