MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will travel to Valdosta, Ga., on Friday evening to take on Valdosta State in Gulf South Conference action in the first meeting between the two programs since the 1998-99 season.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are currently 7-9 on the season with a 3-6 mark in Gulf South Conference play. AUM is coming off a 96-89 victory over league foe North Alabama on Monday evening, snapping a three-game losing skid with the win.
Junior guard and Jefferson Davis High School alum
Desmond DeRamus has now amassed over 900 points for AUM and now sits at 922 for his career. DeRamus is on pace to break the 1,000-point barrier in early February.
As a team the Warhawks are shooting 44.7 percent from the floor while converting 35 percent from the 3-point line. Four players are averaging double figures in scoring with senior guard
Reagan Eubanks leading the way with 16.3 points per game. DeRamus is second on the team at 15.6 ppg while
Lafayette James-Core is at 12.8 ppg and
Darrion Taylor is at 11.5 ppg.
Senior center
Jarett Croff leads the team in rebounding, averaging 4.9 per contest. Fellow senior
Kameron Hornbuckle is second on the squad in rebounding average at 4.8 rpg, but is first in total rebounds with 72.
About the Blazers
VSU is 15-2 on the season with an 8-1 record in the GSC. The Blazers are second in the league standings, trailing only league leading West Florida (16-1, 8-1 GSC). UWF holds the tiebreaker with VSU, having defeated the Blazers 97-88 on Dec. 2.
The Blazers have won eight in a row, and are coming off of an 83-69 victory over Union on Monday.
Five players are averaging double figures for the Blazers, with Beau Justice leading the way at 19.2 points per game. Justice, a sophomore guard from Peebles, Ohio, has scored 10 or more points in all but one game this season, including 10 games of 20 or more points.
Justice also leads the team in assists with 59 while KJ James leads the team in rebounds, averaging 5.2 per contest. James is second on the team in scoring averaging 15.5 points per game, while Morgan Winston is third at 12.6 ppg.
