About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are currently 7-10 on the season with a 3-7 mark in Gulf South Conference play. AUM is coming off a 104-81 setback against league foe and No. 21 ranked Valdosta State on Friday evening on the campus of the Blazers.
This will be the fourth contest this season against a ranked opponent for the Warhawks. AUM is currently 2-1 this season against teams in the top 25.
AUM is 4-5 lifetime against the Argonauts, with UWF picking up an 87-76 on Feb. 20 of last season.
Junior guard and Jefferson Davis High School alum
Desmond DeRamus has now amassed over 900 points for AUM and now sits at 942 for his career. DeRamus is on pace to break the 1,000-point barrier in early February.
About the Argonauts
UWF is 17-1 this season with a 9-1 record in GSC play. The Argonauts are coming off of an 88-86 victory over West Georgia on Friday, surviving a late scare from the Wolves to remain undefeated at home this season.
Five players are averaging double figures in points on the season, with senior forward Darryl Tucker leading the way at 15.6 points per game. Tucker also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 9.3 per contest.
Junior guard Rashaan Benson leads the team in assists with 94 on the year while also averaging 11.1 points per game.
