MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will head to Carrollton, Ga., on Tuesday evening to take on Gulf South Conference foe West Georgia, with opening tip set for 6:30 p.m. on the campus of the Wolves.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 6-7 on the season with a 2-4 mark in conference play. AUM went 1-1 last week, with an 77-68 victory over #5 Christian Brothers on Tuesday before dropping an 80-77 decision to Union on Thursday.
The game against West Georgia will be the third road game in row for the Warhawks, and the second of four straight home contests for the Wolves. It will also be the second all-time meeting between the two programs, with AUM earning a 72-69 victory over UWG on Nov. 20, 1989.
Three Warhawks are averaging double figures in scoring with junior guard
Desmond DeRamus leading the way with 15.3 points per game.
Lafayette James-Core (13.0 ppg) and
Darrion Taylor (12.3 ppg) round out the top three scorers for the Warhawks.
Senior forward
Kameron Hornbuckle leads the team in rebounds with 65 on the season while DeRamus leads the team in assists (49) and steals (28).
The game will be the first of two meetings between the two squads this season, with UWG coming to the AUM Gymnasium on Feb. 22 at 8 p.m.
About the Wolves
West Georgia is 6-7 on the season with a 1-5 mark in league play. The Wolves are coming off of a 113-72 victory over Carver College on Sunday, but dropped their last two GSC contests prior to the win.
The Wolves are led offensively by junior guard Marquill Smith, who is averaging 19.8 points per contest. Three other players are averaging double figures for UWG, with Paul Turner contributing 19.2 ppg, Williams Sides at 17.3 ppg and Karlos Odum at 12.6 ppg.
Smith also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 7.8 rpg while fellow junior guard Aren Ulmer leads the team in assists with 38.

The Warhawks will play at home for the first time in 2018 on Saturday, Jan. 13, when they host Alabama Huntsville in a 4 p.m. contest at the AUM Gymnasium.
