MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team led Delta State for 49 minutes of regulation, but three late goals by the Lady Statesmen, including the game-winner in overtime, would prove to be pivotal in the Warhawks 4-3 loss on Friday, Oct. 19 in Gulf South Conference action.
With the loss, AUM's record now sits at 2-10 overall, and 2-8 in GSC play.

Ruby Mendez led the AUM attack in the match, with a goal scored and two assists distributed.

Mayson Jaindl and
Allison Singleterry both also notched a goal on the evening, with Jaindl taking a team-high three shots in the contest.

Felicia Wester was responsible for the other assist in the game.
How it Happened
- The Warhawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute via Jaindl's fifth score of the season. It was both Mendez and Wester that helped facilitate the goal.
- In a matter of only seconds after AUM's first tally, the Warhawks were once again able to strike pay-dirt in the 26th minute, courtesy of Mendez's 13th goal of the year.
Delta State would provide the first goal of the second half in the 50th minute, but the Warhawks would rebuttal with a goal from Singleterry in the 62nd minute. Mendez also helped setup that score.
- The Lady Statesmen would go on to add a pair of goals, sending the match in to overtime. The game-winning goal came from the Lady Statesmen in the 91st minute.
