MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team battled #19 ranked Mississippi College hard, but fell 2-1 in double overtime to the Lady Choctaws on Sunday, Oct. 21. 
 
Notes
- With the loss, the AUM's record drops to 2-11 overall, and 2-9 in Gulf South Conference play.   
- Sunday's match marked for the second consecutive overtime match of the weekend for the Warhawks.
 
Standout Performers
- Ruby Mendez logged AUM's lone goal of the match, while also accounting for a team-high two shots on goal. 
- Mayson Jaindl also tallied two shots on goal in the game, with one on frame.
- In goal, Dejon Fletcher (2-6-0) grabbed 10 saves on the afternoon.
 
How it Happened
- Neither team was able to crack the scoreboard in the first period, as defense prevailed early.
- The Lady Choctaws knocked in the game's first goal in the 66th minute, courtesy of a penalty kick. 
- Mendez delivered the equalizer in the 76th minute, after she capitalized off an MC miscommunication on defense that allowed the goal-scoring opportunity. The goal marked for Mendez's 14th of the year.
- The first overtime period saw neither team able to put the ball into the net, however, the Lady Choctaws would deliver the game winner in the 104th minute.
