Haley Toler prior to the match, the Warhawks dropped a 3-0 decision to Gulf South Conference rival West Alabama on Saturday afternoon inside the AUM Gymnasium.
NOTES
• AUM falls to 10-19 overall and 1-13 in league play.
• UWA improves to 19-8 on the year and 11-3 in the GSC.
• The Warhawks are now 0-3 lifetime against the Tigers.
• UWA won the match 25-17, 25-18, 25-12.

Tynesha McWilliams led the Warhawks in kills with seven while hitting for a .357 average.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• UWA jumped out to an early advantage in the first set, going up 12-7 before a pair of kills by McWilliams cut the deficit to three. The two teams traded points until the Tigers went on an 8-2 rally to take a 22-14 lead. The Orange & Black responded with three straight points but UWA would respond in kind, scoring the final three points of the set to earn a 25-17 victory.
• The second set saw the two teams battle to a 9-9 tie before a 9-3 run by the Tigers gave UWA an 18-12 advantage. The teams traded side outs with UWA going up 23-15. A kill by McWilliams followed by an UWA attack error cut the lead to 23-17, but the Tigers were able to get two out of the last three points to take the set 25-18 and go up 2-0 in the match.
• AUM went up 5-4 in the third set before a 9-1 run by UWA gave the Tigers a 13-6 advantage. After a side out on a service error by the Tigers, UWA rallied for six straight points to go up 19-7. AUM responded with three straight points before UWA was able to regain serve. Leading 20-11 the Tigers were able to finish the set on a 5-1 run to win the frame 25-12 and the match 3-0.

• The match featured eight tie scores and three lead changes.
• AUM posted 2.0 blocks while the Tigers tallied 5.0.
• UWA hit for a .371 mark as a team while the Warhawks hit for a .076 attack percentage.
• The Tigers recorded eight service aces while AUM had two.
UP NEXT
The Warhawks will travel to West Georgia on Tuesday, Oct. 30, to take on the Wolves beginning at 6 p.m. This will be the second meeting of the season between the two programs, with UWG earning a 3-0 victory on Sept. 22 in Montgomery. This will also be AUM's final road contest of the season.
