MONTGOMERY, Ala. –The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team played their final home match of the 2018 season on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and sent their 2018 senior class out in style with a 5-0 victory over Talldega College on "Senior Night."

- With the win, AUM improves to 4-12 on the season.
- The Warhawks tallied a season-high five goals for the second time in 2018, including the second time in their last three outings.

Ruby Mendez upped her season goal total to 17 on the year, a single-season mark that ranks tied for eighth all-time in program history. Mendez's now sits at 40 career goals, which ranks her fourth all-time in program history.
- Prior to the match, a special on-field presentation was held to honor seniors

Standout Performers
- Mendez led the AUM attack with two goals scored on the night.
- It was Edlund who served as the Warhawks chief distributor on the night, dishing out a career-high three assists on the evening.

Peyton Poe scored her first collegiate goal in the contest, while also picking up an assist.

Mayson Jaindl and Alborghetti both also scored a goal for AUM in the contest, while Julia Simoes, Mazzillo and
Vada Ingram all notched an assist.
- In goal, Wester (1-5) held held the Tornadoes scoreless during her 62 minutes in goal, while
Dejon Fletcher helped preserve the shutout for the remainder of the game in relief.
How it Happened
- The Warhawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute, on Mendez's 16th score of the season, Edlund helped facilitate the goal.
- AUM would go on to add three more goals before the conclusion of the first period, with scores from Jaindl (23'; Poe, Mazzillo), Alborghetti (28'; Edlund, Simoes) and Mendez again (39'; Ingram).
- Poe delivered the game's final blow in the 68th minute, as it was Edlund who helped setup the freshman midfielder's first score as a Warhawk.

"It feels great," Alborghetti said of the Warhawks win in her final home match. "I feel sad, leaving a part of me behind, but, I've done what I am supposed to do. Hopefully someone can come along and carry on what we've been able to accomplish."
