HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team saw their second-half comeback effort come up just short in their 2-1 loss to the Chargers of Alabama Huntsville on Sunday, Oct. 7 in Gulf South Conference action.
With the loss, AUM's record sits at 2-9-1 overall, and 1-4-1 against GSC opponents.

Cedarian Brunelle recorded his first goal of the 2018 season in the setback. The senior forward also led AUM on the day with three shots.

Raphael Meyerhoff logged his first assist of the season in the match.

Alexander Kraus (1-8-1) logged four saves on the day.
How it Happened
- The Chargers notched both of their goals in the first half, with scores in the 23rd and 39th minutes to put them up 2-0 at the break.
- Brunelle moved AUM to within one goal with his 73rd minute score. Meyerhoff helped set up the goal, by skillfully navigating through the UAH backline and finding the foot of Brunelle.
- The UAH defense bent, but did not break, as they held the Warhawks scoreless for the remainder of the match to secure the win.

"We definitely picked it up in the second half," Head Coach
Wulf Koch said. "We were able to get their center backs to play with their backs to their own goal more regularly, and even had a few chances late on some set pieces. We just failed to capitalize on them."
