MONTEVALLO, Ala. – A 26-point first quarter and a 24-point third quarter from Spring Hill College proved to be pivotal in the Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team's 72-62 loss to the Badgers on Saturday, Nov. 10 in their final contest of the GSC/SIAC Conference Challenge.
With the loss, AUM's record drops to 0-2 to start the year.
Standout Performers
- For the second-consecutive game, it was
Jordan Brewster that led the Warhawks in scoring. The freshman guard notched a team-high 18 points on a 6-11 shooting performance from the three-point line.

Evelina Avleeva also scored in double figures for AUM, with 10 points to go along with a team-high eight rebounds. Avleeva also registered four steals, and dished out two assists.

Aaliyah Milord led the Warhawks with five assists, five steals and three blocks on the afternoon, to go along with nine points scored.

Victoria Morales chipped in for nine points, while also picking up three assists and pulling down six boards.
How it Happened
- A fast start from Spring Hill saw the Badgers take a 10-2 lead over AUM in just the first two minutes of play.
- After the Warhawks shrunk their deficit to 12-7, the Badgers would go on a 10-0 run, before seeing their lead sit at 26-12 through one quarter.
- The Warhawks would buckle down defensively in the second quarter, however, and hold the Badgers to just 10 points, while going on a 9-0 run from the 5:04 to the 1:46 mark to cut their deficit to single digits at the half.
- The third quarter saw both teams pick up the pace offensively, with the Badgers outscoring the Warhawks 24-17 in the period.
- The Warhawks tallied their highest 10-minute total of the game in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Badgers 18-12. Avleeva (6) and Morales (5) combined for 11 of AUM's points 18 in the quarter.

"We played much better in the second half," head coach
Sean Page said. "We still have many areas to improve on, but, on the positive side, we scored 62 points for the first time this season, in addition to having a positive assist to turnover ratio for the first time this year."
Inside the Boxscore
- AUM shot just over 33 percent (22-65) from the field, while shooting 32 percent (8-25) from beyond the arc and 55 percent from the free throw line (10-18).
- The Warhawks collected twice as many steals as the Badgers in the game, recording 11 to Spring Hill's five.
- AUM also doubled Spring Hill's points off of turnover total, scoring 26 off of Badger miscues, while seeing Spring Hill pick up only 13.
- The Warhawks posted a 1.18 assist to turnover ratio in the game, with 13 assists to just 11 turnovers.
- The orange and black outscored the Badgers 33-22 in the second and fourth quarters, while being outscored by the Badgers 50-29 in quarters one and three.
