Women’s Hoops Travels to Tuskegee on Tuesday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team will travel to Tuskegee, Ala. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 to take on the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University in nonconference action.

About the Warhawks
AUM (0-3) will be looking to avenge a 62-50 loss to the Golden Tigers in their most recent matchup on Nov. 9 to open up the season. 
 
The Warhawks were edged 53-45 by Young Harris their last time out on Saturday, Nov. 17 in their home opener. Jordan Brewster tallied a team-high 15 points, while Makaylla Bullard distributed a team-best seven assists in the setback.
 
Through three games, Brewster leads the charge offensively, averaging 15.7 points per contest, a mark that also ranks for sixth in the Gulf South Conference. The Freshman guard has knocked down a GSC-best 14 treys, while also averaging a conference-high 4.6 threes per game, and ranks fifth in the GSC with a 38 percent three-point shooting percentage. 
 
Evelina Avleeva paces the Warhawks, and ranks third in the GSC, with a nine rebounds-per-contest average on the season. The senior forward's three steals per game rank for third among Gulf South players, while her nine total steals rank among the top 5 players in the conference. 
 
The Warhawks currently hold the highest blocked shots per game total among GSC-affiliated schools, averaging 5.7 a game so far in 2018. Kendra Boone and Aaliyah Milord both rank tied for first in the conference, with a 1.3 blocks per game average. 
 
About the Golden Tigers
Tuskegee (2-1) heads into their matchup with AUM on Tuesday coming off of a 44-42 win over West Georgia in their most recent contest on Nov. 13.
 
The Golden Tigers are currently averaging 57 points per game on the season, while shooting just under 33 percent (65-198) from the floor on the year.
 
The Tuskegee defense is currently holding opponents to score 54 points per contest, with their counterparts averaging just 29 percent shooting from the floor, and 19 percent from beyond the arc in 2018.

Alexis Carter's 14 points and 11.5 rebounds per game both serve as the team high for Tuskegee, while Tyler Everett's 9.5 points and eight rebounds per contest sit second on the team.
