MONTGOMERY, Ala. –The Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team capped off their home slate for the 2018 portion of their schedule with a 64-49 setback to the Chargers of the University of Alabama in Huntsville in Gulf South Conference action on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Notes
- With the loss, AUM's record drops to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in GSC play.
- The Warhawks saw multiple players score in double figures for the first time this season, with
Makaylla Bullard's 13 and
Jordan Brewster's 11.
- The loss dropped AUM's all-time advantage over UAH in their serie's history to 7-2.
Standout Performers
- Bullard led AUM offensively on the night with a season-high 13 points, to go long with a game-high three assists.

Victoria Morales grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds, in addition to scoring seven points.
- Brewster tallied double-digit points for the sixth time this year, going for 11 points on a 3-6 shooting night from the three-point line.

Evelina Avleeva and Baliee Wolfe both added seven points, with Avleeva grabbing six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Aaliyah Milord added nine rebounds, giving her 20 boards over the last two games.
How it Happened
- Bullard was responsible for the Warhawks first six points of the game, including a jumper at the 7:15 mark in the first that pulled AUM to just a one-point deficit at 5-4.
- Following Bullard's bucket to pull AUM within one, the Chargers would go on a 17-6 run to close out the quarter, highlighted by a 9-0 run from the 6:55 to the 4:43 mark in the quarter.
- AUM cut their deficit to 11 points twice in the second quarter, with the latest coming on a layup from Avleeva at the 6:12 mark in the period to make it 28-17.
- The Chargers, however, would go on a 13-7 scoring run to take a 41-24 lead into the break.
- The Warhawks held the Chargers to just 23 points in half number two, including just 10 in the final period of play, with the Warhawks scoring a game-high 18 in the fourth quarter of the contest.
- AUM closed out the game on a 14-4 scoring run in the final six minutes of the game to give way to the final score of 64-49.
Inside the Boxscore
- AUM shot just under 34 percent from the floor on the night (20-59), while going 3-16 from the three-point line and 6-12 from the charity stripe.
- The Warhawks scored a season-high 22 points in the paint, to go along with eight points off of Charger turnovers.
- The orange and black got eight points of contribution from their bench, with seven of those coming from Wolfe.

- The Warhawks will see a week off before returning to the court on Saturday, Dec. 8 when they take on Southern Wesleyan University from Central, S.C. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
