MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will close out 2018 with a pair of road contests against Gulf South Conference foes Union University and Christian Brothers this Thursday and Saturday, respectively, before heading into the Winter break.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 4-6 on the season with a 0-2 mark in GSC play. AUM has lost four contests in a row and are coming off of a 111-105 setback to non-conference foe Spring Hill College on Tuesday evening on the campus of the Badgers. The Warhawks' last victory came at home against SHC, a 72-58 victory on Nov. 25 at the AUM Gymnasium.
Three players are averaging double-digit points for the Warhawks, with junior guard
Carlos Bell leading the way with 159 points (15.9 ppg). Fellow juniors
Tre Hansbrough (13.1 ppg) and
Darrion Taylor (13.0 ppg) have also reached triple digits this season, scoring 131 and 130 points, respectively. Taylor leads the team in assists with 34, averaging 3.4 per contest.
Junior center/forward
Aaron Reddick leads the team in rebounds with 79 and blocks with 20. Reddick's 7.9 rebound per game average is tied for the GSC lead in that category, while his 20 blocks leads all players in the league.
AUM is 1-4 lifetime against Union and 1-1 against CBU. The Bulldogs won the only meeting of the season last year between the two schools, an 80-77 victory for Union while the Warhawks split the season series with the Bucs, earning a 77-68 victory at then No. 5 CBU and suffering an 83-61 setback at home.
The games this week will be the final games before AUM will be off for Winter break. AUM's next game will be at home against the University of Montevallo on Jan. 3.
About the Bulldogs
Union is 6-3 this season with a 1-1 mark in league play. The Bulldogs have won two in a row and are coming off of a 90-68 victory over Williams Baptist College this past Saturday.
The Bulldogs are averaging 81.8 points per game while holding opponents to 74.1. They are also 4-1 at home this season.
Sophomore guard Tyree Boykin leads the team in points with 141, averaging 23.5 ppg. Two other Bulldogs are averaging double figures in scoring, with Terrandus Smith (13.4) and Bryson Butler (11.4) having achieved the mark. Butler also leads the team in assists with 27
Freshman forward Tylandrius Parks leads the team in rebounds with 66, averaging 7.3 per contest.
About the Buccaneers
CBU is 5-4 overall and 1-1 in the GSC. The Bucs have lost three in a row and are coming off of an 87-52 setback to Bellarmine (Ky.) on Saturday.
Senior forward Adam Dieball leads the team in scoring with 156 points on the year, averaging 17.3 ppg. Joe Laravie is averaging 15.8 ppg and Nick Deifel is averaging 12.0 ppg, giving CBU three players who are scoring 10 or more points per game this season.
Dieball also leads the team in rebounds with 68, averaging 7.6 per contest, and assists with 64, averaging 7.1 a game.
