About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 9-17 on the season with a 5-13 mark in Gulf South Conference play. AUM is coming off of an 89-69 setback to GSC foe North Alabama on Wednesday evening after the Warhawks earned a 96-89 victory over the Lions on Jan. 15.

This will be the second meeting between AUM and CBU, with the Warhawks earning a 77-68 victory over the then No. 5 ranked Buccaneers in Memphis, Tenn. It was the first game back for Eubanks after an injury sidelined after the first game of the season, and the senior from Spanish Fort, Ala., responded with a team best 18 points. Fellow senior James-Core recorded his first career double-double in the contest, tallying 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Junior guard Desmond DeRamus became the first Warhawk to hit the 1,000-point plateau since Nathan Thomas (1,090) did it in 2010. The Jefferson Davis High School alum recorded his 1,000th point against Mississippi College last Thursday in the first half, stealing a pass and using a fastbreak layup to set the mark. He now stands at 1,071 points for his career, which puts him in 14th place all time in points scored surpassing Ed Card (1,069) who played for AUM from 1984-88.

About the Buccaneers
CBU started the season with 11 consecutive victories before falling to the Warhawks on Jan. 2. The Bucs are now 18-8 on the season with a 10-8 mark in GSC action. CBU has lost two in a row and are coming off of a 55-53 setback to Delta State at home on Wednesday evening. Despite the setback the Buccaneers have clinched a berth in the upcoming GSC Tournament.

Three players are averaging double figures in scoring for the Bucs, with Adam Dieball leading the way 17.8 points per game. Teammates Jeff Larkin (17.7) and Joe Laravie (16.4) are also averaging double digit points, while Alex Trentman leads the team in rebounds with 169 (6.5 rpg).

The Bucs will close out the season on Thursday against rival Union University beginning at 7 p.m.
