About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 9-18 on the season with a 5-14 mark in Gulf South Conference play, having dropped five contests in a row and eight of their last nine. AUM is coming off of an 83-61 setback to Christian Brothers on Saturday at home, as the Warhawks were celebrating senior day.

Senior forward Lafayette James-Core scored a game-high 19 points for the Warhawks in the setback. CBU converted 14-of-38 3-pointers in the contest and 15-of-19 free throw attempts, while AUM hit 8-of-26 treys and only 3-of-5 free throws taken.

This will be the second meeting of the two teams this season, with the Wolves earning a 103-100 victory over AUM on Jan. 9. The Warhawks trailed for most of the contest but took a 100-99 lead on a Desmond DeRamus layup with :55 seconds to play. UWG would regain the lead moments later and then convert a pair of free throws to hold off the Warhawks.

Senior guard Reagan Eubanks tallied 24 points and eight rebounds for AUM, with DeRamus adding 20 points and eight boards of his own in the contest. The Wolves' Paul Turner scored a game-high 32 points, with teammates Marquill Smith and William Sides adding 25 and 23, respectively.

Junior guard Desmond DeRamus became the first Warhawk to hit the 1,000-point plateau since Nathan Thomas (1,090) did it in 2010. The Jefferson Davis High School alum recorded his 1,000th point against Mississippi College on Feb. 1 in the first half, stealing a pass and using a fastbreak layup to set the mark. He now stands at 1,079 points for his career, which puts him in 14th place all time in points scored surpassing Ed Card (1,069) who played for AUM from 1984-88.

About the Wolves
UWG is 13-13 on the year with an 8-11 record in league play. The Wolves have won two in a row and four of their last six, and are coming off of an 85-82 victory over West Alabama on Saturday. Sides scored a team-high 26 points to go along with six assists in UWG's upset victory over the Tigers, who had already clinched the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GSC men's basketball tournament.

Smith leads the team in points and rebounds, averaging 22.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game this season. He has recorded seven double-doubles on the season, missing out on four more by just one rebound.

This will be the final game of the season for UWG as well as the Wolves did not qualify for the GSC tournament.
