MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will host Gulf South Conference foe #12 Valdosta State on Saturday afternoon as part of a doubleheader with the women's programs, as the Warhawks will look to avenge a loss to the Blazers earlier this season.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 9-15 on the season with a 5-11 mark in Gulf South Conference play. AUM is coming off of a 63-46 setback to #20 West Florida on Thursday evening. Senior guard
Reagan Eubanks scored a team-high 14 points with two rebounds, two steals and a block. The 46 points for AUM was a season low, while the win for the Argonauts set the school record for wins in a season (21).
Junior guard
Desmond DeRamus became the first Warhawk to hit the 1,000-point plateau since Nathan Thomas (1,090) did it in 2010. The Jefferson Davis High School alum recorded his 1,000
th point against Mississippi College last Thursday in the first half, stealing a pass and using a fastbreak layup to set the mark. He now stands at 1,044 points for his career.
Eubanks leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.6 points per contest. DeRamus is not far behind, tallying 15.5 ppg. However, DeRamus leads the team in points scored with 356. Senior center
Jarett Croff leads the team in rebounds (135) and rebounds per game (6.1).
This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season, with then #21 Valdosta State earning a 104-81 victory on their home court. Five players scored in double figures for the Warhawks, with DeRamus scoring a team-best 20 points. VSU's Beau Justice scored a game-high 32 points in the victory for the Blazers.
AUM is 3-3 lifetime against the Blazers and are 3-2 this season against nationally ranked opponents.
About the Blazers
VSU sits atop the Gulf South Conference leaderboard with an overall record of 22-2 and 15-1 in league play. The Blazers have won 15 games in a row, and are coming off of a 106-77 victory over West Georgia this past Thursday evening.
Six players scored in double figures for the Blazers, with Justice leading the way with 24 points against UWG. Jimmy Kodet recorded a double-double in the contest, recording 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Justice leads the team and is third in the GSC, averaging 21.0 points per game. K.J. James (15.9), Winston Morgan (12.7) and Clay Guillozet (12.3) are all averaging double-digit points for the Blazers, wih James leading the team in rebounds with 182. Justice also leads the team in assists with 80.
