MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Senior second baseman
Nathan Langley set an Auburn Montgomery baseball team NCAA-Era single-game record for hits with five on Saturday afternoon in the opening game of a doubleheader against Montevallo, which the Falcons won both of by scores of 11-4, 4-0.
NOTES
• AUM falls to 13-20 overall, 4-14 in Gulf South Conference play.
• Montevallo improves to 25-11, 12-6 in GSC action.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS (GAME 1)
• Two of Langley's hits went for extra bases, a double and triple, to go with a pair of runs scored, one RBI and one stolen base.
• Junior second baseman
Harrison Morris went 2-4 with one run scored.

Hayden Friesen went 1-3 with a RBI.
• Redshirt sophomore righty
Hank Scott (4-4) got the start and allowed eight runs off 10 hits in 4.0 innings with two strikeouts.
• For Montevallo, Chad Wagner went 3-5 with two runs scored and one RBI while Cas Silber (6-5) gave up four runs, three earned, off nine hits over 7.2 innings with 10 strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1)
• Capped by a three-run homer from Sebastian Samuels, Montevallo scored five runs in the bottom of the first to take an early 5-0 lead.
• Montevallo added to their lead in the bottom of the second off a two-out single from Wagner, scoring Jason Cryar to make it 6-0.
• Leading off the top of the third with a single, Morris scored AUM's first run of the contest on a failed pickoff attempt of Langley. Langley later touched home plat on a sacrifice bunt from senior center fielder
Donovan Chandler, making it 6-2.
• The hosts tallied another run in the bottom of the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Caleb 9Ledbetter to send Cryar home to create a 7-2 advantage.
• A two-out single from Friesen in the top of the fifth scored Langley to make it 7-3.
• Montevallo loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth on a single, hit by pitch and walk, with a single from Ledbetter scoring Brooks and Anderson to make it 9-3.
• AUM cut the deficit to 9-4 in the top of the seventh on a two-out double from Langley, scoring Hill.
• Montevallo extended its lead in the bottom of the eighth, loading up the bases on a fielding error, single and walk with a double from Garrison sending Wagner and Samuels home to make it 11-4.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE (GAME 1)
• AUM tallied 11 hits while Montevallo had 13.
• The Warhawks left seven runners on base, Montevallo stranded 11.
• AUM had three errors while Montevallo had one.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS (GAME 2)
• Langley went 2-3 at the plate, his 16th multi-hit outing of the season which is a personal-best, with one stolen base while logging 1.2 scoreless innings on the mound with two hits allowed and one strikeout.

Aaron Hill went 1-3 at the plate with one run scored while tossing 2.0 innings of relief with two runs allowed, one earned, off two hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
• Senior southpaw Garett Deloney (2-3) got the start in game two and logged 4.1 innings with two runs allowed off seven hits with two strikeouts.
• For Montevallo, Dupree went 2-3 while Alex Pondick (4-0) tossed a complete game with nine hits allowed and eight strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2)
• Montevallo got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth, using a two-out single from Khari Anderson to send Samuels home and take a 1-0 lead.
• The host added insurance runs to their lead in the bottom of the fifth, using a one-out double from Tyler Krabbe to score Wagner and Cryar and a single from Ryan Brooks to plate John Michael Reed to create a 4-0 edge.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE (GAME 2)
• AUM tallied nine hits while Montevallo had 12.
• The Warhawks left nine runners on base, Montevallo stranded 10.
• AUM had one error.
