MONTEVALLO, Ala. – With two runners on base and two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning the University of Montevallo's Lady Sarah Federico hit a three-run home run to left field to lift the Falcons over the Auburn Montgomery softball team in a 7-5 walk-off victory at Orr Park on Saturday afternoon.
NOTES
• AUM falls to 17-12 on the year with a 10-11 mark in the Gulf South Conference.
• UM improves to 24-9 overall and 13-8 in league play.
• The Falcons also win the series, 2-1, earning both of their victories in walk-off fashion.
• The Warhawks are now 2-4 lifetime against Montevallo.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Freshman
Morgan Duschell went 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs batted in.

Hannah Dailey,
Kalee Sparks and
Jaycie Walker all went 2-for-4 for the Warhawks with each tallying a run for AUM.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Walker drove in the game's first runs in the top of the third when she belted her third home run of the season with
Kendall Tucker on first base to give AUM a 2-0 advantage.
• AUM added another run in the third when Dailey scored from third on a throwing error by UM
• UM Kelsey Vining would answer with a homer of her own in the bottom of the third, driving in three runs for the Falcons to tie the game at 3-3.
• Vining would drive in another run in the bottom of the fifth on a single to center that gave UM a 4-3 lead.
• Duschell would give the Warhawks a 5-4 advantage with a 2-RBI single to center that scored Sparks and
Jasmine Thompson.
• In the bottom of the seventh with two on and two out, Federico would get her first hit of the day in the form of a home run to left to give the Falcons a 7-5 walk-off victory.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
• AUM scored five runs on 11 hits with no errors.
• UM scored seven runs on 11 hits with one error.
• Sophomore
Chanel Newcomer fell to 10-5 on the season after allowing seven runs on 11 hits in 6.2 innings pitched.
• Montevallo's Abbey Pratt (2-1) was credited with the win in relief, allowing two runs on five hits in two innings of work.

The Warhawks will host non-conference foe Georgia Southwestern in a twin bill set for Wednesday afternoon at the AUM Softball Complex. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
