MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team played its final non-conference match of the season on Wednesday afternoon at No. 3 Columbus State, falling to the host Cougars 9-0.

• AUM falls to 8-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• At the top flight, the pair of
Alvaro Terron and
Francisco Jimenez fell in a tightly-contested 8-6 match to the duo of Zach Whaanga and Alvaro Regalado.

Eban Straker-Meads and
Santiago Veglia took on KP Pannu and Matei Avram on court two, falling 8-5.
• Columbus State won by default on court three.
•
Giovanni Bellio's match was the first to end in singles play, falling 6-2, 6-1 to Avram on court five.
• Jimenez fell to Regalado at the third slot 6-0, 6-2.
• No. 29 Terron dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to No. 26 Whaanga at the second position.
• Veglia lost 6-3, 6-2 to Paul Sprengelmeijer at the fourth flight.
• At the top position, Meads bested No. 2 Pannu 7-6 before falling 4-6 in the second set and 10-8 in a pro-style third set.
• Columbus State won by default on court six.
