MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery softball team will travel to Pensacola, Fla., this weekend to take on Gulf South Conference foe #17 West Florida in a three-game series set to begin on Sunday at 3 p.m. with a doubleheader followed by a single game on Monday starting at 12 p.m. on the campus of the Argonauts.

About the Warhawks
AUM is 22-12 on the season with a 13-11 record in the GSC. AUM has won five games in a row including a three-game sweep of Shorter University last weekend. The sweep of the Hawks was the first GSC sweep in program history for AUM.
 
Five players are batting over .300 for AUM with senior outfielder Kalee Sparks leading the way with a mark of .383. Sparks leads the team in hits with 41 and runs batted in with 21. Sophomore Jaycie Walker is second on the team in batting average with a mark of .351 but leads the team slugging percentage (.660) and home runs (4).
 
Sophomore Chanel Newcomer leads the team in strikeouts with 71 and is second on the team in earned run average with a mark of 1.83. Freshman Michaelyn Foster now leads the team in ERA with a mark of 1.70 and is second on the team in K's with 34.
 
About the Argonauts
UWF is 22-13 this season with a 13-9 record in the Gulf South. The Argos are coming off of a 2-1 series loss to Lee last weekend, falling in the rubber match 8-1 last Sunday to drop the series to the Flames on the road.
 
Seven Argonauts are batting over .300 with Grace Gilbert leading the way with a mark of .396. Meghan Toney is batting .340 and leads the team in hits with 35 while teammate Callan Taylor driving in a team-best 23 RBI.
 
Gilbert also leads the team in ERA with a mark of .216 and has amassed a win-loss record of 8-2 this season. Sarah Maloney is right on Gilbert's heels with an ERA of 2.20 and a record of 6-2 while leading the team in strikeouts with 64.
