Warhawk Tennis To Host Mississippi College At 1 p.m.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's and women's tennis teams will in their final match of 2018 on Sunday afternoon, when they host Gulf South Conference opponent Mississippi College at the AUM Tennis Complex at 1 p.m.
 
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
The AUM men's team is ranked No. 40 nationally in the latest Oracle ITA Division II Men's Collegiate Rankings and are No. 7 in the South Region. The Warhawks are 9-7 on the season with a 7-3 mark in league play. AUM is coming off of a 5-4 victory over Lee University on Friday.
 
Freshman Eban Straker-Meads is ranked 21st nationally in the individual rankings, with teammate Alvaro Terron currently ranked 29th. Both Straker-Meads and Terron are 11-5 on the year with Straker-Meads holding an 8-2 mark in league matches and Terron having a 6-4 mark in the GSC.
 
The AUM women's team is 8-9 this season with a 7-4 mark in league play. The Warhawks are coming off of a 6-3 victory over Lee on Friday and have won four out of their last six matches.
 
Freshman Alba De La Torree is 11-5 this season while senior Alejandra Gil is 11-6. Gil will be playing in her final match for the Warhawks on Sunday, having amassed a 44-9 in singles play and a 44-16 mark in doubles action. She earned Second Team NAIA All-America honors her sophomore season.
 
ABOUT THE CHOCTAWS
The MC men's team is 7-10 on the season with a 2-8 mark in the GSC. The Choctaws are coming off of a 5-1 setback to the University of Montevallo on Friday, and have lost four out of their last five matches. Senior Marcos Rocca leads the team in victories with a mark of 12-2 on the season.
 
The Choctaw women's team is ranked 33rd nationally, with an overall record of 17-1. MC is 10-1 on the season in league play, with their only setback coming against #2 West Florida on March 31. The Choctaws are coming off of a 5-2 victory over #26 Montevallo in their last match this past Friday.
 
Anne Marie Kimball is 15-1 on the year and Aneta Golawska is 14-1 to lead the Choctaws, as five players have won double-digit matches this season. As a squad MC is 82-14 individually, with a 43-7 mark in doubles play.
