NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Auburn Montgomery women's cross country earned a second place finish at the Trevecca Nazarene DII Showcase on Saturday morning, averaging a team time of 21:12 in the 5k race hosted by the Trojans of TNU.
NOTES
• AUM recorded a total time of 1:46.00 and an average time of 21:12.
• The Warhawks posted three top-10 finishers and five top-20 finishers.
• There were five teams at the event.
INDIVIDUAL FINISHES
•
Benisse Inamahoro came in fifth place with a time of 20:04.3.
•
Gladys Rutto ran a time of 20:48.1 to finish ninth.
•
Isabella Gyori finished 10th with a time of 20:50.7.
•
Tanishya Jones recorded a mark of 22:02.6 to finish 17th.
•
Victoria McCurry ran a time of 22:13.9 to place 18th.
•
Danielle Riggs finished 28th with a time of 23:58.2.
•
Savannah Karl recorded a time of 24:09.3 to come in 29th.
•
Olivia Guarino rounded out the AUM runners, finishing 31st with a time of 24:38.6.
QUOTING THE COACH
"We used this race as a workout, running in groups until the two-mile mark," said head coach
Ryan Thompson. "Then we went all out the rest of the race, recording three top-10 finishes in the end."
UP NEXT
The Warhawks will next be in action on Friday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take part in the Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.
