MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team will host a pair of Gulf South Conference contests this weekend, as they take on number-four ranked West Florida on Friday, Sept. 28 and Spring Hill on Sunday, Sept. 30.

The Warhawks (1-5, 1-3 GSC) head into the weekend having knocked off Shorter 1-0 in Rome, Ga. on Sunday, Sept. 23 their last time out.
Ruby Mendez netted the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute of the match, while keeper
Dejon Fletcher picked up her first collegiate shutout in the victory.
The Warhawks are currently averaging 2.17 goals per contest, having netted 13 through six matches this season.
Mendez leads the AUM attack and sits tied for second in the conference with 14 points accumulated on the season. The junior forward has netted six goals, a mark that ranks tied for third in the GSC, and distributed two assists on the year.
Sophomore
Melissa Fernandez leads the Warhawks with three assists on the season, while Mendez and freshman midfielder Julia Simoes have accounted for a pair of assists on the year.
In goal for the Warhawks, Fletcher (1-2) has notched 25 saves in a team-high 384 minutes between the posts.
The Warhawks hold an all-time advantage of 7-0-1 against Spring Hill, including a four-match win streak that dates back to 2013. AUM will look for their first win against the Argos when they square off on Friday, who hold a 2-0 advantage in their brief history.
About West Florida
The number-four ranked Argonauts come into their matchup with AUM with an unblemished 8-0-0 record in 2018, including a mark of 4-0 against GSC opponents. West Florida bested Valdosta State 3-0 in their most recent matchup on Sept.23 in Valdosta, Ga.
The Argonauts have scored a GSC-best 26 goals in eight matches, for a pace of 3.25 per contest. The Argos also lead the conference in assists (18), total points (70), shots taken (186) and shots on goal (95).
Grace Busby leads the West Florida attack with six goals scored, while Sam Warrum paces the squad, along with the GSC, with five assists.
Goalkeeper Esthefanny Barreras leads the GSC with a 0.28 goals against average, and sits second in the conference with three shutouts.
About Spring Hill
Spring Hill (1-6-0, 1-3-0 GSC) dropped their most recent contest 7-0 at West Georgia on Sunday, Sept. 23 in GSC action.
The Badgers have scored five goals through seven matches in 2018, for a mark of 0.71 per game. Spring Hill is currently averaging 10.43 shots per contest, having taken 73 on the season.
Top returner Gabrielle Burmaster leads the Badgers with 17 shots taken on the season, while Goalkeeper Grace Riley has allowed just nine goals in net for the Badgers and boasts a save percentage of 65 percent.
