MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 Gulf South Conference match to the Badgers of Spring Hill College on Sunday, Sept. 30.
 
With the loss, AUM's record falls to 2-8 overall, and 1-3 in GSC play.
 
Standout Performers
-Phillip Spickenbaum took a team-best six shots on the afternoon, with four shots on goal.
- Alexis Arriaga took four shots on the day, with one on frame.
- Alexander Wagner, Berkly Louviere and Sverrir Smarason all also were responsible for a shot taken on the day.
 
How it Happened
- Neither team was able to get on the scoreboard in the first period, as AUM was able to outshoot Spring Hill 5-2.
- The Warhawks got one of their better scoring looks in the 23rd minute of period number one, as a free kick from Arriaga outside of the box went just wide of the goal.  
- The Badgers notched their first goal of the game in the 61st minute, and would see their second goal find the back of the net in the 71st minute, giving way to the 2-0 final score. 
 
Inside the Boxscore
- The Warhawks outshot the Badgers 13-12 on the day. 
- AUM put up four shots on goal, and saw eight of their 13 shots come in the second half.
- The Warhawks took six corner kicks, while holding Spring Hill to just three.
- Goalkeeper Alexander Kraus's record dropped to 1-7 with the loss. The Freshman keeper tallied one save in the match.
