MONTGOMERY, Ala.– The Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team led West Alabama for 37 minutes of game time, but a 24-7 fourth-quarter run from the Tigers helped propel them to a 73-70 Gulf South Conference win over the Warhawks in Gulf South Conference action on Monday evening.

- With the loss, AUM's record drops to 0-13 overall and 0-6 in GSC play.

Evelina Avleeva led the charge offensively for AUM, with a 19-point, six-rebound and three-steal performance.

Jordan Brewster scored 18 points, while matching a career-high with six three-pointers on nine attempts.

Makaylla Bullard accounted for a season-high 17 points, to go along with a season-best nine assists. Bullard also pulled down a season-high five rebounds.

Victoria Morales recorded 11 points, while grabbing five rebounds.

Aaliyah Milord also served as a big presence on the glass for AUM on the night, with nine rebounds.
How It Happened
- The Warhawks got off to red-hot start in quarter number one, a period that would see them shoot 56 percent (9-16) on field goals. AUM jumped out to a 12-6 lead with 5:05 to go in the first on a three-ball from Brewster.
- The Tigers would battle back in the quarter to cut their deficit to four at 20-16 with 13 second left, but a trey from Brewster would put an exclamation point on the first quarter and see AUM lead 23-16.
- The Warhawks saw their largest lead of the ballgame come in the second quarter on an and-one from Avleeva, followed by a successful free throw to put them up 19 at 37-18 with 3:26 to go in the period.
- AUM held West Alabama to their lowest offensive quarterly total, outscoring them 15-10 in the quarter to lead 38-26 at the break.
- AUM saw their most productive quarter come in the third, scoring a season-high 25 points in the period.
- The Warhawks led by as much as 18 in the period, and would lead by 15 at quarter's end on buzzer-beating three by Brewster to take a 63-48 advantage into the fourth.
- AUM totaled just seven points in the fourth quarter, while allowing West Alabama to score 25.
- The Warhawks led 66-53 after a Brewster three with 7:37 to go, but an 18-4 run by West Alabama over the next seven minutes of game time would see the Tigers take the lead 71-70 with 28 seconds to go and not look back.
- Trailing 72-70 with 14 seconds left, Brewster was able to get off a clean 15-foot jumper, but it would go for not as West Alabama would add another free throw off the miss to take the game at 73-70.
