HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team was able to crack the scoreboard in the first half, although seeing several opportunities to do so. The Warhawks saw two of their better looks in the 6th and 27th minutes, as a Spickenbaum header missed wide, and a Diniz shot from inside the box sailed high.

- The Chargers would get their equalizer in the 86th minute, when a misplayed clearance by AUM would set them up for the late score.
- A total of 10 shots would be taken over two 10-minute overtime periods, but neither team was able to punch one in.
QUOTING THE COACH
"I'm very proud of the boys, they put everything on the line tonight," Coach Thorne said. "We showed that we had some character, especially after conceding an equalizer with just a few minutes to go. UAH was a fantastic battle, and it was a great Gulf South Conference game. A lot of teams would have dropped their heads and lost the game after the UAH goal, but our guys stuck together. They never broke and for that I am very proud. Any points you can get in the Gulf South is always good, because it's not an easy league to play in. Now we just have to try to recuperate, and get ready for a massive game against West Alabama on Sunday."
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- AUM was outshot by UAH in the contest, 27-10.
- The Orange and Black took five shots in the first period, two in the second, one in the first overtime period and two in the second.
- Eight of the Charger's shots came on goal, compared to three for the Warhawks.
UP NEXT
- The Warhawks face a quick turnaround, as they prepare to host the Tigers of West Alabama in Gulf South Conference action on Sunday, Oct. 13. Kickoff from the AUM Soccer Complex is slated for 5:00 p.m.
