How it Happened

- Mendez would lead the charge for AUM right out of the gate in the second half. The ball was played to the feet of the San Jose native as she was in all alone with the keeper but shot the ball too far to the right, and the game remained at 1-1.
- Alabama Huntsville would take the lead in bizarre fashion as a ball was played into the box by Marissa Miltko and was put away off of Colvin's elbow and into the back of the net to give UAH a 2-1 lead.
- The remainder of the game was filled with intrigue and drama as in the 73' minute,
Mayson Jaindl had a breakaway chance, but her shot was met by the hands of the UAH keeper. Immediately after the save, the ball was pushed upfield to Burd Annie, who then played it to Melanie Brannon, who slotted the ball past
