MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- Heavy rain, combined with gusty winds, turned the AUM Soccer Complex into a quagmire on Thursday, Nov. 7, where the Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team fell 3-0 to the Lady Bucs of Christian Brothers in Gulf South Conference play.
With the loss, the Warhawks fall to 1-15-1 overall, and 1-10-1 in GSC action.
Milian Mollison logged both of the Warhawks shots on goal in the contest, while
Trinity Prater,
Mayson Jaindl,
Helena Torres,
Ruby Mendez,
Faith Hayes and
Ariel Jones all accounted for a shot taken in the game.
In goal,
Chloe Kistler and
Dejon Fletcher each played a half for the Warhawks, with Fletcher grabbing a team-high five saves and Kistler recording three.
Following a fifith-minute goal to grab the early 1-0 advantage, CBU would wait another 35 minutes of game time before their second tally of the night. The late first-half strike in minute number 40 would give the Lady Bucs a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
The Lady Bucs would go on to grab their final goal in minute number 68 of the match, giving way to the 3-0 final.
The Warhawks put together eight shots over 90 minutes. AUM took five shots in half number two, and three in half number one.
The Orange and Black were tagged for just five fouls on the evening, while CBU was whistled for three.
AUM will finish off their 2019 season on Saturday, Nov. 9 when Union comes to town for an 11:00 a.m. Gulf South contest. Prior to kickoff,
