MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will break a 13-day hiatus from action when they return to the hardwood this week for a pair of home Gulf South Conference contests against Union on Monday, Dec. 16 and West Georgia on Saturday, Dec. 21.

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (6-4, 1-1 GSC) will be back out on the court for the first time in almost two weeks, with a 97-64 exhibition setback at Samford University on Dec. 3 serving as their most recent competition.
The Warhawks currently rank fourth in the GSC with a 77.9 point-per-game average, and fifth in the league with a 45 percent field-goal efficiency.
Carlos Bell's 14 points per game leads the Orange and Black, while
Darrion Taylor (13.7),
Stanley Davis (13.5) and
Maharrith Jackson (10.3) are all also averaging double-digit points for AUM.
As a unit, the Warhawks rank third in the GSC in three-point field goal percentage at 38 percent, and fourth in the league in threes made with 80. Davis leads all Gulf South players with a 49 percent three-point efficiency, and second with 31 threes made and a 3.1 threes-per-game rate.
AUM finds themselves in third place in the Gulf South with 140 assists distributed so far in 2019. Taylor leads the Warhawks and ranks fifth in the conference with 42 assists, while ranking seventh in the league with a 4.2 assists-per-game clip.
Three players are currently averaging at least five rebounds per game for AUM, with Jackson's 7.4 boards per contest leading the way.
Aaron Reddick (5.9 RPG) and Bell (5.1 RPG) follow closely behind Jackson.
The Warhawks will look to improve both of their all-time records against Union and West Georgia. AUM holds a 1-6 record against the Bulldogs and a mark of 1-4 against the Wolves.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Union (8-3, 2-1 GSC) comes into their contest with AUM on Monday winners of their last five games, including a 75-60 win over Cumberland University their last time out on Dec. 14. The Bulldogs checked in at number nine in the most recent south regional rankings compiled by D2SIDA.
Union is currently averaging 77.7 points per game on offense, while shooting 46 percent from the floor and allowing their opponents to score just 68.4 points per contest. The Bulldogs feature the conference's second-leading scorer in Tyree Boykin, who is currently averaging 21 points per contest.
The Bulldogs lead the GSC with 133 three's made and an average of 12.1 treys per game. Boykin ranks third in the conference with 28 three-pointers made, and a 38 percent three-point efficiency.
ABOUT THE WOLVES
West Georgia (2-7, 0-4 GSC) has dropped their last two contests heading into the week, including a 71-68 home loss to North Georgia in their most recent game on Dec. 7.
Through nine games, the UWG offense is averaging 76.6 point per game, while allowing their opponents to score 84 points per contest.
The Wolves possess two of the top 11 scorers in the conference in Kovi Tate, who ranks third in the GSC with 18.4 points per game, and Kadeim Jones who's averaging 16.4 points per contest. Tate also leads West Georgia, and ranks fourth in the GSC, with an 8.8 rebounds-per-game rate.
Prior to their meeting with AUM on Saturday, the Wolves will host Montevallo in GSC action on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
