About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 13-1 on the season, having won 19 of their last 21 contests dating back to last season. AUM started the season with a 9-0 victory over #3 North Georgia on Feb. 1, followed by a 4-0 win over Embry-Riddle who were receiving votes in the NFCA Top 25 rankings the following day.

This season AUM has outscored opponents 117-12 overall as only nine runs allowed have been earned. The Warhawks are batting .373 as a team which is good enough for second place in the GSC, trailing only UWF which is batting .392 as a team.

The pitching staff has a team earned run average of 0.78, with three out of six pitchers having not allowed an earned run.

Sophomore pitcher/infielder Michaelyn Foster is 5-0 this season, having tossed the first complete game no-hitter at AUM since 2016 when she shut down Brewton-Parker on Feb. 7, followed by another no-hitter against West Alabama on Feb. 15. This season Foster has allowed only 13 base runners over 87 at bats.

Junior slugger Jaycie Walker leads the team in batting average (.452), slugging percentage (.881), hits (19), doubles (6), home runs (4) and total bases (37). Walker's four dingers are tied for the GSC lead with Delta State's Kelly Byrd, while her slugging percentage and total bases lead the Gulf South.

Centerfielder Parker Pinholster tops the team in runs batted in with 18, trailing only Shorter's Dani Lukas (19) to lead the conference. Pinholster would also lead the league and the GSC in stolen bases in 2019 with 13, if not for teammate Olivia Aycock's 16 swipes this season.

Last season then #17 UWF took 2-of-3 games from the Warhawks, with AUM salvaging the series with a 6-0 game-three victory. Junior hurler Chanel Newcomer tossed a three-hit shutout of the Argos while striking out a career-high 11 batters in the victory.
