ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (5-22, 4-15 GSC) heads into the final contest of their 2018-19 campaign coming off a 70-50 drubbing of Shorter University in their final home game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 23. Four Warhawks scored in double figures, led by
Makaylla Bullard's career-high 23-point performance.
Jordan Brewster moved up another rung in the AUM women's basketball record book, as she finished Saturday's game with 104 three-pointers made on the season to sit second all-time in that stat category. Brewster needs just five more threes on Thursday night to set the AUM single-season record for treys in a season.
Brewster's 14.7 point-per-game average paces the Warhawk offense, while also unofficially leading all GSC freshmen. The freshman guard also unofficially leads the conference in three's made (104), threes-per-game (3.85) total minutes played (985) and minutes per game (36.5).
Victoria Morales continues to unofficially pace the GSC with 46 total blocks, and 1.7 blocks per game. Morales needs just four more blocks to become the first women's basketball player at AUM to block 50 shots in a season since the 2009-10 season.
Morales also leads AUM with 204 total rebounds, while
Aaliyah Milord leads the squad with a 7.8 boards-per-game average, and
Evelina Avleeva sits right off of Milord's pace with a 7.7 rebounds-per-game clip. The trio have combined to grab 60 percent of all of AUM's rebounds this season, hauling in 599 of the Warhawk's 990 boards.
The Warhawks led for over 23 minutes of game-time, and held Valdosta State to just 32 percent from the floor, but fell 55-49 to the Lady Blazers at home in their most recent meeting on Saturday, Jan. 26 of this season.
ABOUT THE LADY BLAZERS
