Warhawks Welcome West Florida for GSC Rematch on Monday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team will host the University of West Florida in Gulf-South-Conference action on Monday, Feb. 4 from the AUM Gymnasium, just one week after playing the Argonauts in Pensacola, Fla. on Jan. 28.

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (2-18, 1-11 GSC) fell 71-47 to the Lady Statesmen of Delta State University on Thursday, Jan. 31 in their most recent contest. Evelina Avleeva (11) and Makaylla Bullard (10) both tallied double-digits in the setback, with Avleeva falling just one rebound shy of a double-double at nine. 
 
The Warhawks boast an all-time series advantage of 14-8 over West Florida, while dropping a 73-44 contest at West Florida on Monday, Jan. 28 in their most recent meeting. 
 
Jordan Brewster continues to pace the AUM offense, with a 15.4 points-per-game mark that unofficially ranks among the top 10 performers in the Gulf South Conference and leads all GSC freshmen. The freshman two-guard also continues to unofficially leads the conference in threes made (80), threes-per-game (4.0), overall minutes (743) and minutes per game (37.2).
 
Brewster sits just 20 threes away from becoming the third player in AUM women's basketball history to eclipse the century mark for three-pointers in a season, and needs just 29 more treys to set the single-season record for threes made in a season. 
 
Avleeva sits second on the team, with a 9.3 points per-game-scoring average, and leads the squad with an 8.0 rebounds-per-game clip.
 
Victoria Morales leads AUM, and unofficially ranks in the top ten in the conference, with a 43.5 field-goal percentage. Morales 1.2 blocks per game and 23 total blocks find her third among individuals in the GSC, while the Warhawk's 74 total blocks and 3.7 blocks-per-game continues to unofficially pace the GSC. 
 
ABOUT THE ARGOS
West Florida (16-4, 10-3 GSC) checked in at number four in the most recent D2SIDA South Regional Rankings. The Argos head into their meeting with AUM winners of their last six, including a 74-44 drubbing of West Alabama on Thursday, Jan. 31 their last time out. 
 
The Argos currently lead the conference in field-goal percentage (45 percent), rebounds-per-game (44.2), rebounding margin (+12.7) and assists-per-game (17.4), while ranking second in scoring average (73.8 per game) and three-point percentage (35 percent). West Florida has scored at least 65 points in each of their last six wins.
 
West Florida posses the top two scorers in the conference, with Haliee Nieman leading the Gulf South at 17.7 points-per-game, and Toni Brewer's 17.3 points-per-contest ranking second in the league. Belle Bistrow serves as the official leader in the conference in total threes (61) and treys per-contest (3.1)
 
Two of the top three rebounders in the GSC also belong to the Argos, with Brewer's 11.2 boards-per-game leading the GSC, while Anna Hall's 8.9 rebounds-per-game mark ranks for third. Hall also leads the GSC in assists-per-game at 7.4.
