MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will travel to Mississippi this weekend, squaring off against Mississippi College on Thursday evening before facing Delta State University on Saturday afternoon in a pair of Gulf South Conference road games.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 6-15 on the season with a 2-11 mark in league play. AUM is coming off of a 92-85 setback to West Florida on Monday evening, and have lost five games in a row. Junior guard
Darrion Taylor scored a career-high 29 points for the Orange & Black, with guard
Devorious Brown recording a career best eight assists in the contest.

Carlos Bell leads the team and is sixth in the GSC in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per contest. Taylor is second on the team in scoring (13.4 ppg) and leads the team in assists (60). Junior forward
Aaron Reddick leads the team and is fourth in the conference in rebounds with 169, while also leading the team in blocks with 35. His 35 blocks rank second among GSC players this season.
Thursday will be the only meeting of the season between MC and AUM. The Warhawks are 1-3 lifetime against the Choctaws, having split the season series last season with each team winning on the other's home court. Saturday will be a rematch between the Warhawks and the Statesmen, with DSU having already won an 80-73 decision over AUM on Jan. 31. AUM is 1-6 lifetime against Delta State.
About the Choctaws
MC is 5-13 on the season with a 2-11 mark in the GSC. The Choctaws snapped a 10-game losing skid with a 71-68 victory over Lee University, holding off a Flames' comeback to secure the victory.
Brandon Boston leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game. Boston also leads the team in rebounds with 112. Marcus Lytle and Dyllan Taylor are also averaging double digits in points, tallying 12.8 and 11.4, respectively, for the Choctaws. Taylor leads the team in assists with 67 and steals with 24. Lytle leads the team in blocks with 12.
About the Statesmen
DSU is 14-7 on the season with a 10-4 mark in the league. They are currently tied for second with Christian Brothers in the league standings, and are coming off of a 68-57 setback to Alabama Huntsville on Saturday.
Three players are averaging double figures in scoring, with Brett Warner leading the way with 14.6 points per contest. Rasheide Bell is second on the team at 13.0 ppg while Justin Slocum is third with 11.0 ppg. Slocum also leads the team in rebounds with 158.
Armon Benford leads the team and is ninth in the league in assists with 76.
The Statesmen will host CBU on Thursday evening before welcoming the Warhawks to campus on Saturday.
