CLEVELAND, Miss. ------ Four players scored in double figures, but the Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team dropped a 77-67 Gulf South Conference road decision to Delta State Saturday.

NOTES
• The loss dropped the Warhawks to 7-16 on the season and 3-12 in league play.
• Delta State improved to 15-8 overall and 11-5 in conference games.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
•
Kenneth Keith led Auburn Montgomery with 13 points, while adding a pair of assists.
•
Aaron Reddick posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds in just 19 minutes. He also blocked three shots.
•
EJ Card finished with 10 points and six rebounds.
•
Devorious Brown chipped in 10 points.
•
Mikel Davis had four points, five rebounds and three assists off the bench.
•
Stanley Davis scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds.
• Cedric Harper scored a game-high 21 points, while adding eight rebounds and three blocked shots for the Statesmen.
• Matthew Wilson hit four 3-pointers, scoring 20 points, off the bench for DSU.
• Rasheide Bell posted a solid line of 10 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After exchanging 7-2 runs to open the game, the Warhawks took their first lead, 12-11, of the contest on a trey by Keith at the 13:30 mark of the first half.
• Delta State answered with a 10-4 run and took at 21-16 lead on a three-point play by AJ Cockrell with 10:28 remaining in the half.
• Following the fourth tie of the first half, AUM retook the advantage, 32-30, on a jumper by
Carlos Bell with just 4:19 left in the half. The Statesmen closed the half with an 8-2 run and led 38-34 at halftime.
• Staying within striking distance early in the second half, the Warhawks regained the lead, 45-44, on a layup by Card with 15:05 to play.
• Holding on to a one-point lead, 51-50, with 12:58 remaining, AUM hit a cold spurt, as it was held scoreless for the next 5:54 until a layup by Keith snapped a 10-0 run by the Statesmen.
• Delta led by as many as 15 points down the stretch, before AUM provided the final margin on a Brown bucket with 12 seconds left in the contest.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
• The Warhawks converted 24-of-54 shots from the field, good for 44.4 percent. AUM hit 8-of-18 attempts from behind the arc and 11-of-14 from the charity stripe.
• The Statesmen hit 49.2 percent of their shots, including 6-of-11 from distance. DSU converted just 11-of-20 from the free throw line.
• Delta State outscored AUM 40-26 in the paint.
• The Warhawks committed 10 turnovers, leading to 19 points by the Statesmen. Delta had just five miscues, leading to 10 AUM points.
