DAHLONEGA, Ga. --- The Auburn Montgomery baseball team dropped a 9-2 road matchup to the number-nine ranked Nighthawks of the University of North Georgia on Wednesday, April 10 in midweek action.
NOTES
- With the loss, AUM's record drops to 19-19 on the year.
- Neither team committed an error in the ballgame.

Sage Smelley made his Warhawk debut in left field in the contest.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Quinterrious Arrington accounted for a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in the game. Arrington now sits at 29 stolen bases on the year, a mark that unofficially ranks tied for first in the Gulf South Conference.

Hayden Friesen tallied a team-high two hits, while
Jonathan Brandt registered both a hit and an RBI on the day.

Zach Feaster,
Casey Henderson and
Matthew Zielonko all added a hit, while
Kyle Khoury picked up an RBI in the setback.

Brett Lightsey (2-2) was tagged with the loss. The senior right-hander allowed just one earned over the first 2.1 innings of the game, while striking out one.

Micah Henderson tossed a game-high two innings of relief out of the AUM bullpen, surrendering three earned.

Todd Burkett stuck out one over 1.1 innings of scoreless relief, while
Alex Graulich tossed the final 0.2 innings for the Warhawks in scoreless fashion.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Georgia pushed across five runs over their first three at bats, with a run in their first at-bat of the game, and a four spot in the third inning. The Nighthawks took advantage of four hits in the inning, including a pair of two-RBI knocks to help contribute for the four runs scored.
- The Warhawks would crack the scoreboard in the fifth, plating a pair of runs on two hits. Arrington would bring home Khoury with a one-out double to center, while Brandt would draw a bases-loaded RBI base on balls to bring home Arrington and bring the score to 5-2.
- North Georgia would go on to add four more runs over the next two innings, however, highlighted by a two-run shot in the sixth to increase their lead over AUM to 9-2.
- The Warhawks would load up the bases in the top of the ninth, but would fail to push across a run; giving way to the 9-2 final.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- AUM was outhit by North Georgia in the contest, 13-7.
- Despite only scoring two runs, the Warhawks did not give up a 1-2-3 inning on offense, and reached base to leadoff an inning in seven of nine frames.
- The Warhawks left a season-high 14 runners on base in the game, while the pitching staff stranded nine Nighthawk baserunners.
