MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis had their five-match win streak snapped by Gulf South Conference rival Valdosta State Blazers after a narrow 4-3 defeat on Thursday afternoon at the AUM Tennis Complex.

#30 AUM falls to 9-6 in 2019, and drops to 4-2 in conference play
#18 Valdosta State raises their record to 9-3 and stays undefeated in GSC play with a 7-0 mark.

No. 4 Singles: Santiago Veglia fell to Xavi Pineda 4-6, 3-6
No. 5 Singles: Jose Garcia defeated Axel Holm 7-5, 7-6
No. 6 Singles: Giovanni Bellio fell to Robert Cizek 6-2, 4-6, 1-6
 
No. 1 Doubles: #42 Terron and Garcia defeated Holm and Nguyen 7-6
No. 2 Doubles: Straker-Meads and Veglia defeated Mas and Simbozel 6-4
No. 3 Doubles: Jimenez and Marcus Lind were tied with Cizek and Pineda

UP NEXT
The Warhawks will return to action on Saturday, April 13 when they play host to Lee. The match will mark the fifth-consecutive match versus a GSC opponent and it is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
