MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Having played six of their last nine contests on the road the Auburn University at Montgomery softball team will begin a five-game road swing this week beginning at Talladega College in a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon before travelling to Memphis, Tenn., to take on Gulf South Conference foe Christian Brothers in a three game series beginning on Friday.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks are 35-11 on the season with a 15-9 mark in GSC play. AUM is coming off of a 2-1 series setback to league rival West Georgia this past weekend, taking game one on Friday evening 4-3 before dropping a twin bill on Saturday 4-2 and 2-1.
The Orange & Black dropped to fourth place in the league standings over the weekend, a game and a half behind third place Mississippi College. AUM is also 16-7 at home, 12-4 on the road and 7-0 at neutral site contests.
AUM leads the NCAA Division II and the Gulf South in stolen bases, having recorded 153 on the season and posting 3.3 steals per contest which ranks third in the nation.
Freshman shortstop
Olivia Aycock leads the team in batting average with a mark of .371. She's collected 49 hits and 45 runs scored to go along with 42 stolen bases. Aycock's 42 stolen bases is the single season record for steals in the history of AUM softball.
Junior slugger
Jaycie Walker is second on the team in batting average with a mark of .348. She's also leads the team in slugging percentage of .733, doubles with 15, home runs with 11 and runs batted in with 34. With 15 doubles this season Walker now has 42 for her career, good enough for second place all time at AUM. She is just four doubles behind current record holder Brandi Richards who tallied 46 during her career.
Sophomore
Michaelyn Foster currently leads the team in victories with an overall record of 12-3 from the circle. Junior hurler
Chanel Newcomer is second with a mark of 8-3 while also leading the team in saves with four. Freshman
Savanna Holmes tops the team in strikeouts with 67 this season.
AUM has already played Talladega College twice this season, having opened the season with a 9-0 (five innings) victory on Feb. 7 followed by a 10-0 (five innings) victory on Feb. 9. The Warhawks are 7-0 against CBU, having swept the Buccaneers last season in Montgomery.
