- R. Burkett (2-2) matched a career-high with six strikeouts over 4.2 innings of work in relief. The senior southpaw allowed just one run on one hit, while walking none.
- T. Burkett (6) needed just two pitches to induce a game-ending popup to Cobb at third base, and lock down his sixth save of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Chargers came out of the gate swinging in Wednesday's matchup, with a leadoff home run to start the ballgame, followed by a two-out RBI single to grab a quick 2-0 lead through a half-inning of play.
- The Warhawks would respond with a run in the second inning, courtesy of an RBI fielder's choice by Brandt, and would tack on two more runs in the second on a second RBI fielders choice from Arrington and an RBI groundout from Morris to claim the lead at 3-2.
- AUM would break out for a three-spot in the third, while scoring all three runs in the frame with two away. Cobb's two run bomb accounted for the big blow in the inning, while Feaster was able to plate Blackwell with a single to right field to extend AUM's lead to 6-2 after three.
- After seeing AUM pick up an unearned run on a UAH throwing error in the bottom of the sixth to lead 7-3, the Chargers would make things interesting with a three-run homer in the seventh to bring the score to 7-6.
- The Warhawks would post two huge insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth, however, on a pair of two-out hits from both Morris and Friesen, to give AUM enough breathing room to grab the 9-6 win.
